Mr. Athar Javaid

President

Athar Javaid joined Sysorex Federal in June 2003 as Director of Operations. He was subsequently promoted to vice president in 2005 in recognition of his services in helping the company re-renter the Federal Market with a key acquisition and a focus on IT Services and software development services. In 2005 he was instrumental in leading the company to CMMMI certification at Rock Island Army Arsenal MTMS Project, focusing his attention on Business Development growing the existing customer base and diversification into newer technologies such as IT Services in Virtualization, Consolidation, Cloud computing and Eco Friendly Green Technology Services and consolidating Sysorex relationships with several leading Solution providers such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop & Grumman, Computer Science Corporation, L-3 Communications, resulting in partnership with these companies on multiple prominent IDIQ contracts with the Federal Government.
Prior to joining Sysorex Athar Javaid was a Director of Strategic Initiatives with Wang Federal and Getronics, Inc. where he developed and spearheaded several strategic initiatives in the IT services arena ranging from High End Security Solutions to Electronic Commerce, IP Telephony and RFID.

Born in India, a native of Pakistan educated in Pakistan, England and US, Athar Javaid is a naturalized US Citizen who takes keen interest in community integration affairs here at home, education for the underprivileged along with a passion for civil liberties and democratic governance issues globally.

Most recently, besides launching an IT services company “ Cloud Consolidators, Inc.” he has focused his attention on INDUS – Mobilizing People’s Power. A Washington DC and Islamabad based think tank and advocacy group He is spearheading projects of critical importance ranging from youth leadership development and policy research to protection and enhancement of civil liberties in Pakistan.

Wajid Hassan

General Secretary

Wajid Hassan is a technologist by profession and a political scientist by passion with profound interest in international politics, regional politics of Asia, education, Information Technology, science and STEM education. Highly cultivated judgment skills, illustrate his capability of managing complex situations from extensive experience in Networks and Electronics Engineering. Mr. Hassan is distinctly recognized for providing technical support and managing troubleshooting and configuration with style.

Mr. Hassan has a Ph.D. in Technology Management from Indiana State University, USA. He earned his Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Wichita State University, USA. In recognition of his technical expertise, he was awarded the IEEE-P Gold Medal in the early days of his career. Mr. Hassan also worked on the Government of Pakistan - Vision 2030, Satellite Development Project and designed Autonomous Robots as one of his interests. He also served as a lecturer for engineering classes and taught several course. In the past he has worked at AT&T as a Solutions Architect developing and deploying innovative mobility and networking solutions. He has deployed IPv6, LTE and MCPTT networks. At USDA, Wajid has worked on the Network Automation and Cloud Migration. He worked with Senior Management, IT and Network teams to outline a strategy for a move to public cloud debating on the feasibility between Azure and AWS Clouds.

Mr. Raza Ahmad Rumi

Principal Consultant

Mr. Raza Rumi is a leading Pakistani journalist and policy analyst who is currently a writer in residence at Ithaca College. He serves as a consulting editor of the Friday Times, Pakistan’s foremost liberal weekly paper, and as a columnist for Pakistan’s Express Tribune. A consistent voice for human rights and social inclusion, he has worked as executive director of the Justice Network, a coalition of Pakistani civil society organizations, as director of the Jinnah Institute, a NED-supported think tank that explores issues of democracy and governance, and as host of current affairs talk shows on Capital TV and Express News. An acclaimed writer, he is the author of two books, The Fractious Path: Pakistan’s Democratic Transition (2016) and Delhi by Heart: Impressions of a Pakistani Traveler (2013). During his fellowship, Mr. Rumi is working on a book manuscript exploring the 2007 Lawyers’ Movement in the context of Pakistan’s democratic development.
